TURKEYS
Turkeys are produced on the farm seasonally. Day old turkey chicks are bought in July and are fit for slaughter in time for Christmas. We rear mostly Bronze or Norfolk Black Turkeys because we find that they do not reach the heavy weights that the White turkeys do.
The average weight of our oven ready turkeys is generally about 14 - 16 lbs. Bronze and Norfolk Black Turkeys mature more slowly and provide a nice succulent juicey meat.
Booking well in advance is recommended for Turkeys. Due to the long lead in times involved, we begin taking orders early in the year.
